Eric and Lindsay
Hi All -
Eric and Lindsay were married in a beautiful Japanese Garden in Saraotga. I first met Eric and Lindsay almost a year ago at my and Sara’s annual Oaktoberfest party, and I have really enjoyed getting to know them over the past year. They are both warm and quick-witted, and their wedding was an honor to document. It was also a blast to work with my good friend and former photo editor Brad Zweerink, his great attitude and killer pictures made this wedding all the better.
Hope all is well -

Christy and Miguel
Hi All –
Once again I had the privileged of working with wedding photographer extraordinaire Alison Yin at Christy and Miguel’s wedding. They were married in a beautiful San Francisco church and then had a killer reception in Half Moon Bay. I have to admit I was feeling pretty blessed as I was being paid to drive down Highway 1 from SF to HMB. Alison and I teamed up for some really great bride and groom portraits and I have decided that I only want to photograph weddings with people as talented as her from now on. This wedding also had Golden State Warrior hype man Franco Finn as the party pumper/master of ceremonies, and he was AMAZING. Seriously, this guy knows how to rock a party and is a really cool cat to boot. I would highly recommend him to people looking to throw a great wedding party.
Hope all is well –
Chris
Yen Yen and Davin
Hi All –
I photographed Yen Yen and Davin’s wedding with my good friend, the uber-talented Alison Yin. We had a great time and Yin Yin and Davin were a blast to work with. I got to see a traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony, San Francisco trolley cars and a Napa county club all in the same day!
On a side note, this wedding had, hands down, the best set of wedding toasts/speeches I have ever seen. Seriously each one was 5-10 minutes and people were laughing and crying in every one…impressive. On a side, side note – I also made people laugh and cry with my best man speech at my brother’s wedding.
Hope all is well –
Chris
Brooke and James
Hi All –
Brooke and James had a beautiful wedding in an olive orchard in Livermore wine country. The light was fantastic at sunset and Brooke and James gave me great access to a great day. It was particularly sweet to see how close Brooke and James were with their friends and family.

Photographer of the Year
Last Sunday I was named Photographer of the Year by the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association! This is truly a huge honor, and it wouldn’t be possible without my co-workers Brad and Mike (who are pictured here), my mentors Wes Pope and Richard Koci-Hernandez, and my beautiful girlfriend Sara.
It was the first time in the history of the organization that someone from a small newspaper has won the award, and all night people kept coming up to me and telling me how happy they were about that. In the photo above Bryan Patrick of the Sacramento Bee, who won the award last year, was telling me not to get to used to the trophy because he’s coming back for it next year.
Hope all is well and I’ll post some of the photos from the portfolio soon.

Leanne and Shawn
I had the pleasure of photographing Leanne and Shawn’s wedding last weekend. They were both so laid back that it made my job a breeze. The ceremony had a luau theme and flip flops and lais were abundant. After the ceremony and dinner a group of Polynesian dancers closed off a beautiful day. Here are a few of my favorite flicks.
